] Under any condition, transit damage POY or POY having edge damaged should not be loaded for splicing.
] Proper alignment of ceramic guide in the creel with the centre of POY Paper tube. Both should be in parallel. After alignment, the creel should not be disturbed.
] Use of good splicer with sufficient air blast so as to have good joint strength & the splice knot should be made as small as possible by possibly cutting off the loosely hanged yarn.
] After splicing is over, the joint should be in the air. Spliced yarn should not touch any part of the creel & also the yarn should not be hanged too loosely. This is the utmost importance measure one must take to have good splicing rate.
] Filamentation of splice portion of yarn should be avoided by not over stretching the yarn.
] Left over bunch in POY Paper tube after splicing should be taken off.
] At the time of splicing, creel movements should be avoided.
] Always it is desirable not to have air conditioned duct right above the POY creel in DTY machine to avoid filament / yarn straying.
] Wherever possible put splice mat on the separator string.
